We have a specific submission process in place and do not accept unsolicited draft articles. Sending a completed article without prior contact will not result in publication.

Our process is designed to identify writers with compelling, well-developed ideas. If you have such an idea and the expertise to execute it, please follow the procedure outlined below.

Before You Do Anything: Know What We Publish

We publish definitive guides and insightful essays. A “definitive guide” teaches someone how to accomplish a complex task or understand a nuanced topic. An “insightful essay” changes how a reader thinks about a familiar subject, backed by unique experience or rigorous analysis.

If your idea doesn’t fit one of those two boxes, it’s not for us.

Step 1: The Query Letter

Your first and only submission is a query letter. This is a one-page proposal that sells your idea and your ability to write it.

What a Winning Query Letter Contains:

A. The Lead (One Paragraph)
This is the opening of your proposed article. It must grab us immediately. Show us your voice and the angle in the first 100 words.

B. The Argument (One Paragraph)
Clearly state the core thesis or main takeaway of the article. What is the one thing the reader will know or be able to do after finishing it?

C. The Structure (Bulleted List)
Outline the article’s major sections. This shows you have a logical plan, not just a vague idea.
Example:

The common misconception about [topic]
The three principles of [effective method]
Case study: How [X] applied this
Practical steps for implementation

D. Your Authority (One Paragraph)
Why are you the only person who should write this? Cite specific experience, credentials, or unique access. Include two links to your most relevant published work.

E. The Practicals (One Line)
Estimated word count and potential timeframe for a first draft.

Our Editorial Agreement

By submitting a query, you agree to these terms if we move forward:

Exclusivity & Originality: The work will be written solely for Yashziq Media
and will be 100% original, not published elsewhere in any form.
Work-for-Hire: Upon acceptance of your final draft and receipt of payment, you grant Yashziq Media full copyright ownership of the work.
Editorial Process: All work is subject to our editorial review, which may include structural edits, line editing, and headline changes. You will collaborate on revisions and have final approval for factual accuracy.

What Happens Next

If your query letter demonstrates an exceptional idea and clear execution plan, we will respond within 10 business days to request a full draft.
If we request a draft, we will provide a deadline and a formal agreement.
If you do not receive a response within 10 business days, we have decided not to pursue the idea. Please do not follow up.
